Aims and Scope
JNSRR — Journal of Natural Science Research and Review
The Journal of Natural Science Research and Review (JNSRR) publishes peer-reviewed research in the natural sciences and applied sciences. We work with the recognition that natural-sciences research relies on careful experimental design, reproducible methods, and transparent reporting — and we hold submissions to those standards.
We publish original research articles, methodological contributions, review articles, and applied research with clear scientific framing. Empirical, computational, and theoretical work are all in scope, provided the work makes a specific contribution to its field.
The journal's scope covers:
- Biological sciences, including molecular and cellular biology, genetics and genomics, ecology, evolution, microbiology, and applied biology
- Chemistry, including organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, and computational chemistry, and applied chemistry across materials and biology
- Physics, including condensed matter, materials physics, applied physics, and computational physics
- Earth and environmental sciences, including geology, climatology, atmospheric science, hydrology, and environmental chemistry
- Ecology and conservation, including biodiversity, ecosystem services, and conservation biology
- Applied biotechnology, including biotechnology applications in health, agriculture, and industry, where the focus is scientific rather than purely commercial
- Agricultural and food sciences, including crop science, soil science, and food chemistry
- Mathematics and statistics in scientific applications, where the work is connected to scientific data or scientific methodology
- Interdisciplinary natural sciences, particularly work that bridges traditional disciplines (chemistry-biology, physics-materials, ecology-climate, etc.)
We particularly welcome work that includes proper experimental controls and replication, that follows established reporting standards (ARRIVE for animal research, where applicable), that deposits raw data and code in recognized repositories, and that reports null or negative results when the methodology is sound.
What we do not publish: medical clinical trials (these are better placed in dedicated medical journals), purely engineering work without a scientific contribution, articles without experimental or computational validation when the topic calls for it, or short conference papers without substantial extension.
JNSRR is published by EP Journals Group. Articles are published under a CC BY 4.0 license, with author copyright retained, and registered with CrossRef.
