Authorship and Contribution

The Journal of Natural Science Research and Review (JNSRR) is dedicated to ensuring transparency, fairness, and accountability in authorship attribution to uphold the integrity of the scientific record. Clear and accurate recognition of contributions is essential to maintain trust and assign proper credit.

Criteria for Authorship

An individual qualifies as an author only if they meet all of the following conditions:

  • Substantial Contribution: Participated significantly in the conception, design, data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of the research.

  • Manuscript Preparation: Contributed to drafting, reviewing, or revising the manuscript critically for important intellectual content.

  • Final Approval: Approved the final version of the manuscript prior to submission and publication.

  • Accountability: Accept responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the work and agree to address questions or concerns related to any part of the research.

Persons who contribute to the project but do not meet all authorship criteria—such as technical support, data collection, or general supervision—should be acknowledged separately in the Acknowledgments section with their permission.

Author Order and Corresponding Author

  • The order of authors should honestly reflect the relative contributions made by each individual to the research and manuscript preparation.

  • Any changes to authorship, including addition, removal, or rearrangement after submission, require written consent from all authors and notification to the editorial office.

  • One author must be designated as the corresponding author who will handle all correspondence with the journal during submission, peer review, and publication. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring all co-authors have reviewed and approved the manuscript.

Contribution Transparency

Authors must provide a detailed Author Contribution Statement specifying the roles of each author (for example: conceptualization, methodology, data curation, formal analysis, writing–original draft, writing–review & editing, supervision). This statement should be included in the manuscript and supplied during submission to promote transparency.

Acknowledgment of Non-Author Contributions

All non-author contributors who provided technical assistance, funding support, general supervision, or other contributions should be acknowledged with their permission in the Acknowledgments section. Disclosure of all sources of financial or material support is mandatory.

Authorship Disputes and Misconduct

  • JNSRR prohibits unethical authorship practices, including ghost, guest, or gift authorship.

  • In the event of authorship disputes or suspected misconduct, the journal will follow COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) procedures, which may involve an investigation in collaboration with institutions.

Responsibility of Authors

  • All authors collectively bear responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and ethical integrity of their research.

  • Authors are expected to cooperate fully with the journal in responding to queries or investigations related to the published work.
