Step 1: Manuscript Submission

Authors prepare manuscripts in accordance with the JNSRR Author Guidelines and submit them via the journal’s online submission system. Each submission is acknowledged immediately, with a unique reference number provided for future correspondence.

Step 2: Initial Editorial Screening

Upon receipt, the editorial office performs an initial screening to ensure:

  • The manuscript fits the aims and scope of JNSRR.

  • Formatting and ethical requirements are met.

  • The submission is original, with plagiarism checks conducted using advanced detection software.

Manuscripts failing to meet these criteria are returned promptly with feedback or declined at this stage.

Step 3: Double-Blind Peer Review

Eligible manuscripts proceed to double-blind peer review:

  • Authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other to ensure unbiased assessment.

  • Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two subject-matter experts with relevant expertise.

  • Reviewers assess originality, scientific rigor, clarity, significance, and ethical compliance.

  • Recommendations include: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.

Step 4: Editorial Decision

The editorial team considers all reviewer feedback and makes a decision:

  • Acceptance: Manuscripts meeting all criteria move to production.

  • Revisions: Authors receive detailed, constructive feedback and a timeframe for submitting a revised manuscript along with a point-by-point response.

  • Rejection: Authors are notified promptly, with reasons and suggestions for improvement.

If reviews conflict, a third reviewer or editorial board member may be consulted.

Step 5: Revision and Further Review

Authors submit revised manuscripts addressing all comments. Based on the extent of revisions, these may be returned to the original reviewers for further assessment or cleared by the editorial team if satisfactorily addressed.

Step 6: Copyediting and Proofing

Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting for clarity, consistency, and formatting. Authors review and approve page proofs, checking for typographical or factual errors before publication.

Step 7: Online Publication

Once final approval is received:

  • The article is published online in the earliest available issue and is immediately open access for global visibility.

  • Metadata ensures discoverability through indexing and archiving databases.
